My whole family Christmas Day 2016
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY where I currently live with my husband Jeremy. This past October we celebrated our first wedding anniversary!
I developed an interest in cooking, nutrition, and wellness at a young age. I remember as kid, spending Saturdays during the summer helping my parents care for the vegetable garden they would plant each year. My Mom and Grandma regularly included me and my siblings in the process of preparing dinner or baking bread, cookies, etc. This small taste of cooking quickly grew into a deep love for everything and anything related to food and cooking. Throughout high school in my spare time, I enjoyed selecting recipes, planning menus, and experimenting in the kitchen. One of my passions remains "remaking" recipes to highlight the natural flavors of the food in a more nutritious manner. At the age of 15, I entered one of my favorite recipes into a recipe contest through the cooking magazine "Light and Tasty". To my delight and surprise I won first place and the honor of being featured in the magazine along with my recipe! Through my experimentation in the kitchen, personal learning on nutrition topics, and enjoyment of exercise, I decided to pursue nutrition as a career.

I still enjoy cooking and experimenting in the kitchen and most of all eating! My husband and I both enjoy traveling, outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing, camping, etc), gardening, reading, pinochle, and an occasional movie. My favorite pastime is visiting the Rochester Public Market on Saturday mornings and meeting the farmers who grow delicious fresh produce.
Family is a big part of our lives and we are thankful for the blessing of friends that are like family to us as well.
