Leadership Experience
Resident Assistant
I served as a Resident Assistant (RA) over an apartment section my senior year of college. Pictured left is the staff that I worked with throughout the year. Responsibilities included modeling a commitment to Messiah College's standards, healthy relationships and respect for others. I planned events to help students connect with one another and to promote community within the apartment section. I assisted students in connecting with resources on campus and I proactively responded to relational concerns, roommate tension, potential safety, maintenance and policy concerns.

Student Nutrition Awareness Club
(SNAC)
I was an active member of SNAC all four years of college and served as Secretary of the SNAC club my junior year of college. As secretary I helped plan events for National Nutrition Month and throughout the school year to raise awareness about nutrition among students. As a member of SNAC, I facilitated several “Dorm Demos” in residence halls and apartments on Messiah College’s Campus. These demonstrations provide hands-on opportunities for students to learn how to prepare easy and healthy meals amidst the busy life as a college student. Other SNAC activities included weekly lunch discussions on various topics and issues pertinent to the profession of Dietetics.
